2009 NBA Finals, Magic vs Lakers
Wow. First game of the 2009 NBA finals and we got an interesting game from Orlando Magic and L.A. Lakers. The game was held in Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA. To start it all up, Lawrence Tanter introduced the starting lineups and Jeffrey Osborne sang the national anthem.
During the first quarter, the Magic scored 24 and Lakers 22. As the game progressed, the difference is evident. Second quarter, Magic 19 and Lakers 31. Third quarter, Magic 15 and Lakers 29. Fourth quarter, Magic 17 and Lakers 18. With the final score of 75 points for Orlando Magic against 100 points for Los Angeles Lakers.
During the whole game, Kobe Bryant made an outstanding comeback scoring 40 points. He waited a year for this opportunity and a chance to redeem himself when they lose against the Celtics last year. As we all remember, Kobe won a golden medal as a member of the 2008 Summer Olympics U.S. Men’s Basketball Team. But apparently, Kobe is still yearning for that golden NBA title trophy.
“I just want it so bad, that’s all,” Bryant said. “I just want it really bad.”
Well Kobe, if you play with that energy and enthusiasm throughout the playoffs finals, it possible that you’ll get what you desire.
The next game will be on June 7, 8pm EDT still at Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA or you can watch it on NBC.
