‘Crash Course‘ reality TV show premiered on August 26th on ABC. The Fear Factor-like show is making itself known with new competition on automotive. The show is hosted by Orlando Jones and Dan Cortese and will feature some challenging driving courses that haven’t been seen before on TV. The couple will show off how good they are behind the wheel and work together as a team.
“We do things with cars that you would never imagine,” exec producer Arthur Smith said. “Yet our show is about the people, not the cars, and nothing brings out the worst in people than putting somebody in a passenger seat.”
While they are driving, the contestants will be confronted by any kind of barriers on the road, whether it is weather-related, falling rocks, fire or basically anything.
“It sits at that intersection between fantasy and disaster,” ABC’s co-head of alternative series John Saade said. “Everyone sort of fantasizes about being able to drive like crazy, to do things that you can’t do while sitting in traffic. Some of this is a blast, but you’re occasionally skidding out of control.”
Each week, five teams consists of two members will compete against each other, be eliminated until facing the final “Crash Course” at the end of each episode. The team who remains will have the prize of $50,000.
This week’s five teams competing on the Crash Course include: Single Moms: Fashion models Laurie Carrasco, 42, from Anaheim, CA, and Gina Nalamlieng, 36, from Los Angeles, Best Friends: Pharmaceutical drug salesmen Nilson Goes, 27, from Belem, Brazil, and Adrian Larralde, 36, from Santa Barbara, Married: Husband and wife Ralph Bryant, 50, from East Pointe, MI, and Jennifer Bryant, 36, from Ortonville, MI., Siblings: From Stockbridge, MI, Chris Schoenberg, 23 and Sunni Schoenberg, 19, Roommates: Ty Snow, 33, from Glendale, CA, and Sarah Barker, 25, from Los Angeles.

I believe Laurie Carrasco is my cousin, if her Father (rest his soul) was Adrian Carrasco, then her uncle, my Father is Arturo Carrasco. Our families lost touch long long ago (we moved accross the country, then to Ecuador), I would very much like to re-establish the connection between our families. If you could please forward this message, or my email with an explanation, you would be doing our families a great service.
Thank you, God Bless you, Kevin Carrasco
