Black Eyed Peas on Oprah’s Kickoff Party – flashmob dance! (Video)

The Oprah Winfrey Show celebrated its 24th season with a blast and style!!! The biggest audience in Oprah show history. The Oprah show kickoff party was taped on Tuesday, Sept. 8 on Michigan Avenue in Chicago and was aired Sept. 10.

The most talked about performance was the Black Eyed Peas where they sang their new song “Can You Meet Me Halfway?” and a flash mob danced in sync while the they performed a re-written version of the song their #1 song, “I Gotta Feeling”. Instead of “Tonight’s gonna be a good night”, they changed it to “Today’s gonna be a good day” and “Let’s get get OFF” was changed to “Keep watching Oprah”. Team Oprah had hired some choreographers to teach 800 regular folks to dance, and then they taught their dance to 20,000 other regular folks a flash mob danced in sync. The dancers gave up their Monday holiday to rehearse from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Oprah did enjoyed herself as she bounced on stage with the BEP and with the audience. She praised them and said “That was the coolest thing ever!!!”. Will.i.am called it “the best performance I’ve ever had in my life.”

Here’s the awesome video of the flashmob dance.
