You Never Know! Anything Goes!

After the success of the “Cash for Clunkers” program of the Obama administration, another program is on its way. This time it’s called “Cash for Refrigerators”. The good thing is this does not only include refrigerators but also other household appliances like dishwashers and washing machines. The difference with the “Cash for Clunkers” program is that consumers won’t have to trade in their old appliances.

In this program, Americans can get a rebate of $50 – $200 for purchases of high-efficiency household appliances in their kitchen that is more environment-friendly and more efficient one. The $300 million federal program will start by November after the Department of Energy reviewed the state plans.

The Cash for Clunkers program ended on August 25, 2008 because the budget allocated was already depleted. The administration is making these programs for industries that are severely affected by the economic crisis. Not only are they trying to help the economy and the environment but the consumers as well.

Well, everyone can use a good new appliance. Now the question is, will “Cash for Refrigerators” (or Cask for Appliances) be as popular and successful as “Cash for Clunkers”? Will it gather audience as big as it did with the cars? Let’s just wait and see.

  1. Rebates For Refrigerators

Lee, this program will stimulate buying and help consumers conserve energy, which will save people big bucks on their utility bills. Catchy names like Cash For Clunkers, Rebates for Refrigerators and Dollars For Dishwashers work!

I like the idea of saving on my water and electric bill BUT just as the CAR “CASH FOR CLUNKERS” more then 70% of the rebates went out of the country.

Most of which are made overseas and shipped into the USA.

I want the ecomomy to start moving but not at the expense of the tax payer.

As if we needed another reason to steer clear of valets everywhere, a report from The Herald Sun claims that a casino in Australia has handed over an F430 to someone other than the owner. This week, professional poker player Van Marcus stopped into the Crown Casino with some friends for a little recreation. Adam Ramsey was there at the same time, though when it came time to leave, Ramsey approached the valet stand claiming that he had lost his ticket. The guy points to the drop-head Ferrari F430 in the parking lot and says it’s his. The valet crew asks the gentleman to fill out a form with his personal information, which he does, and hands him the keys to the Prancing Horse.
