You Never Know! Anything Goes!

A very hot topic at the moment is the Chrysler LLC American automobile manufacturer group. What would their fate be? Will they be restructured? Will they be merged with Fiat? Or will they just go down and file for bankruptcy?

Chrysler LLC, first organized as Chrysler Corporation in 1925, were part of the German based DaimlerChrysler AG (now Daimler AG) and called the “Chrysler Group” the U.S.

Even with the Obama administration helping through its “surgical” bankruptcy plan Chryslers’ future is still far from being done. Many people would be affected by this new development and a lot of them would be the autoworkers. A lot of autoworkers would probably find it hard to look for another job again starting another crisis to this “land of opportunity”. They, the autoworkers have agreed to sign a contract, which puts them into a very disadvantage position just to have to stay into their current jobs. Supported by 82 percent of its production workers, 80 percent of its skilled-trades workers, 90 percent of its office and clerical workers, and 94 percent of unionized engineering workers, the government insisted on the restructuring of the company. No more bonuses, reduced overall benefits and cuts to health coverage, the workers would choose all of those just to push the new contract with Chrysler and Fiat.

Whoever would benefit or loss in this new development is still not known. The survival of the third ranked U.S. automaker is now full of speculation and will be watched over till the end.
