Early Christmas Shopping Tips

Before you even know it, it’s Christmas again. Radio stations have already started to play Christmas songs. People already marked their calendar on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving and the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season where everything is super discounted.

Starting your Christmas shopping early has its advantages. First thing, if you start shopping early, you avoid the crowds, the long lines and the frustration of what to buy or what to choose from limited merchandise. Avoid rushing into the local mall the last minute to find out that there is no more available parking space. That’s another stress off of your shoulders. So buy your gifts one at a time beginning late October to stay away from the Holiday rush.

Make a list of all your gift ideas so that you’ll know exactly what you need to buy and you’ll be less likely to forget anything. Keep a general idea of how much you will spend on each person. Begin checking the availability, variety, and most important, the price of items. It’s always important to consider what gift your family or friends wanted to receive this Holiday and not what you want. It’s them you wanted to please.

Now work out a budget and stick to it. You can always start by saving a small amount every month. Or buy only affordable gifts so that it’ll be easier for you to pay your credit card debt.

Shopping online is one great option. It will save you a lot of time standing in line at the mall. You can just shop from your home with the click of a button. Start browsing for photos, compare prices, read customer reviews and see a huge variety of products. Some stores offer free shipping where you just have to pay using a credit/debit card and the product will be shipped right on your doorstep. Pretty convenient.

Getting all your Christmas shopping done early means you can also get your wrapping done early. You don’t have to stay up until 3am wrapping presents. Most stores offer free gift wrapping during the holidays but imagine the overcrowding line.

Remember that Christmas is not about shopping spree but about giving gift for free. It would be good to think about what you will give thoroughly. Early Christmas shopping will save you from all the unnecessary stress and enjoy the rest of the holiday season.

Black Friday this year I am going to get all my Christmas shopping done early. No more last minute shopping for me. Hopefully I can find everything I am looking for. I am pumped for Black Friday.
