There is another Olsen who is starting to make her own name in the entertainment industry, Elizabeth Olsen.

Elizabeth Olsen is the younger sister of the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She is making headlines today because she is set to star in the indie, according to The Wrap.

The 21-year-old, blue-eyed newcomer recently wrapped shooting “Peace, Love & Misunderstanding” and the story revolves around a young woman (Olsen) who is living with her older sister (Sarah Paulson) after escaping a cult. The other cast also includes Hugh Dancy, Brady Corbet, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Catherine Keener, Chase Crawford and Jane Fonda.

Just like her two famous sisters, Elizabeth Olsen started acting while she was a child. She appeared in a series of “The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley” films including “The Case of the Christmas Caper” and “The Case of the U.S. Space Camp Mission” from 1993 – 96. She also had a cameo in Natasha Bedingfield’s video for “I Bruise Easily,” in 2005 and two years later, she starred in the band Carlotta’s music video for “The Queen.” Last year, she made a big impression on one of the U.K.’s biggest style magazines and was named Elle U.K.’s “New Fashion Crush.”

Since we’re talking about a no-so-familiar Olsen sister, there are other siblings. A brother named Trent and as well as two half-siblings, Taylor and Jake. Now you know for whom was their fashion line, “Elizabeth & James,” named after.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. CT and as of 1 p.m. the offshore oil rig was still burning, Gov. Bobby Jindal said. By 4 p.m., the fire was out, according to Coast Guard Capt. Peter Troedson.

Fortunately, the explosion did not leak a significant amount of oil into the water, the Coast Guard said. 13 workers were rescued and one of them was injured although not fatally. When the survivors were found by a supply ship, they were seen wearing a “Gumby suits”, a bright orange survival gear. Dan Shaw, the captain of the Crystal Clear supply boat that rescued Vermilion’s workers, said the employees huddled together in the water, holding hands, apparently hungry and tired after floating for two hours.

Coast Guard and officials from Mariner Energy of Houston, the company that owns the platform, said that reported that a mile-long oil slick was seen spreading from the platform. But when the Coast Guard reached the scene a short time later there was no evidence of any leaks.

“The boats and the aircraft on scene cannot see a sheen,” Capt. Troedsson said.

Unlike the Deep Horizon explosion which happened last April 20, 20101 and spilled about 206 million gallons of oil into the Gulf, Vermilion Oil Rig 380 that exploded Thurday was undergoing maintenance and was not producing at the time of the accident. If there have been some slick seen, it could just be from a small amount of oil stored and it is a less problematic spill.

Just one month after getting married, rap artist T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested Wednesday in West Hollywood. TMZ reports that the charge was possession of a controlled substance.

Report says that the sheriff’s deputies pulled over the rapper, real name Clifford Harris, 29, and his 36-year-old wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, about 10:18 p.m. at 9255 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood when they smelled marijuana coming from their vehicle during a traffic stop.

“During the course of the traffic stop, deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle,” L.A. County sheriff’s officials said in a statement. “A narcotics investigation ensued,” during which T.I. and his wife “were found to be in possession of a controlled substance.”

But, even though the authorities smelled marijuana, they stumbled upon a lot more. T.I. was caught with controlled substances  including marijuana, sizzurp and ecstasy.  Sizzurp is also known as purple drink and is something more than Ecstasy.

T.I. is currently on probation after pleading guilty to weapons charges in 2009 and he served seven months behind bars at a Federal Correction Institution in Arkansas. This incident could send him back to prison.

T.I. and Tiny are in custody at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station right now. The bail was reportedly set at $10,000 and the couple was released by 4a.m.

Michael Douglas was a guest on the “Late Show with David Letterman” Tuesday and he said that his throat cancer is already at stage 4. He will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy and he already completed his first treatment.

But before that, even before his throat cancer was diagnosed, the A-lister actor was already suffering from a sore throat and other symptoms. He told Letterman that he felt and knew something wasn’t right.

“It had been bothering me for a while. In the early summer, I had a really sore throat … and I actually went through a litany of doctors and tests and they didn’t find anything,” he said.

When the doctors did a biopsy, it was then that they discovered a stage 4 tumor, which Douglas described as “intense.” Of course was the actor was worried about the cancer spreading but his doctors expect him to make a full recovery.

“The percentages are very good,” he said. “I would hate to say, but right now, it looks like it should be 80 percent, and with certain hospitals and everything, it does improve.”

“It’s a fight. It really knocks you out.” Douglas told People magazine Wednesday. “I’ll beat this.”

Fighting cancer really is a struggle. Out positive thoughts, prayers and best wishes to him, his lovely wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their children, Dylan, 10, and 7-year-old Carys.

Apple is a genius, no doubt about that. They figured that they can’t possibly replace cable TV so they did something better: integrate Apple TV to consumers’ cable boxes.

Along with the introduction of the new iPod Touch 4^th generation, new iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle Wednesday, Apple also introduced the new Apple TV.

First, the price.

“The price of Apple TV was $229… users said they’d like to see it more affordable,” Apple CEO Stave Jobs said. “ So we’re gonna lower the price, from $299… to just $99.”

Because it is now smaller, the new Apple TV doesn’t have any internal storage. It features an HDMI, Ethernet, optical audio, and USB plugs around back, and of course 802.11n for the cable-averse.

But what can it this new gadget do? You can now watch a movie from your iPad and push it to your TV.  It will deliver only streamed content from either Apple or from a user’s computer and rent shows from Fox and ABC for 99 cents, as well as a collection of high-definition movies for $4.99.

It will include services like Netflix, YouTube, Flickr, and Mobile Me, plus Rotten Tomatoes integration in the movie catalog.

Apple TV will go on sale in four weeks for, again, just $99. You can start pre-ordering today.

Steve Jobs unveiled today a new generation of iPod Touch and iPod Nano. Let’s talk about the iPod Touch first.

The iPod Touch 4G is like, shall we say, an iPhone 4 but without the “phone”. This new iPod Touch is packed with Apple’s Retina display, FaceTime video calling, HD video recording of the back camera, Apple’s A4 chip, 3-axis gyro, iOS 4.1 and Game Center. The new iPod touch features up to 40 hours of music playback and seven hours of video playback on a single battery charge. They managed to squeeze all of these features into the thinnest and lightest iPod touch ever. It’s so thin that it makes the iPhone 4 look fat.

The new iPod touch will be available starting next week, September 8, for a price of $229 (US) for the 8GB model, $299 (US) for the 32GB model and $399 (US) for the 64GB model through the Apple Store.

Now, for the iPod Nano. This is another wonderful new creation by Apple. This baby definitely got a big makeover. It’s now 46 percent smaller and 42 percent lighter than the previous model closer to Shuffle size. Its biggest transformation is it has now a touch screen. Although it loses the video camera, it gets VoiceOver, FM radio, and a pedometer. Also, it now uses an OS similar to iPhone’s.

Apple also added a clothing clip that lets you wear the Nano on a pocket or lapel, yeah just like the Shuffle. This new iPod Nano will come with 8 gigabytes of memory for $149 or 16 gigs for $179.

Apple has just proven why a lot of people would prefer to their hands on any Apple product. They are always ahead of everything and gives you the most advance gadget technology can offer.

“We have spent a trillion dollars at war, often financed by borrowing from overseas. This, in turn, has short-changed investments in our own people, and contributed to record deficits,” he said, adding that too many middle-class families are working harder for less.

“They (the troops in Iraq) have met every test that they faced,” President Obama said. “Now, it is our turn. Now, it is our responsibility to honor them by coming together, all of us, and working to secure the dream that so many generations have fought for — the dream that a better life awaits anyone who is willing to work for it and reach for it”.

Not everyone was happy about the move the President did however as he met opposition in the hands of lots of Republicans. John McCain, the Republican senator who ran against Obama in the 2008 presidential election, called it “a real lack of generosity of spirit.”

“What he should have said: ‘I opposed the surge. I was wrong. I made a mistake and George W. Bush deserves credit for doing something that was very unpopular at the time,’” McCain said in an interview “Instead he had to say it’s well known that George Bush loves the troops.”

Still, Democrats all over seized the opportunity to support the economic boost effort. “The cost of our military operation in Iraq — more than $700 billion to date — continues to plunge us deeper into debt,” Sen. Russ Feindgold of Wisconsin said in a written statement. “We can help get our fiscal house in order by ending our military involvement in Iraq. Delaying our final troop redeployments for another year will add tens of billions more dollars to our massive debt.”

Zsa Zsa Gabor is dead? No. This is just one of those celebrity death rumors spreading like wildfire in social sites and forums. It is however true that Zsa Zsa Gabor is not in good health right now. Still, to say that someone is dead even though she is not, is so offensive.

Gabor, 93, was found by her husband, Frederic Von Anhalt, “unresponsive” Tuesday, said John Blanchette, a spokesman. Anhalt then called 911 and she was rushed back to a hospital again. Anhalt took her to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where doctors were able to stabilize her condition. The actress is still under observation because of age and doctors were still conducting tests but it was possible Gabor could go home Tuesday night.

It’s no secret that the actress has been in and out of the hospital for the past few months. Last July, Gabor broke her hip and suffered several broken bones while getting into a wheelchair at her Bel-Air home. On August 13, Gabor returned to the hospital due to bleeding and pain. She underwent a surgery and had two blood clots removed. There was even a priest who was called to the hospital to administer last rites. During that time, doctors wanted to perform surgery on her liver that would give her a 50-50 chance survival rate, but the couple decided “she wanted to spend her final days at home,” according to Blanchette. She then went home to her Bel Air mansion on August 17.

An update on her condition is still unknown but though reports have stated that she was receiving treatment for flu-like symptoms. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Major Nelson has revealed a new wireless Xbox 360 controller is on its way. The now improved controller still looks like the current version but it’s now matte silver (rather than white) and it also features concave analog sticks and gray-toned A,B,X,Y buttons for added style.  The new Xbox 360 controller comes with a transforming D-pad. With a simple clockwise twist, you can transform Xbox’s traditional D-pad to a four-directional D-pad.

Monday night the announcement was made amidst lots of anticipation during the “’The Bachelor Pad” and the hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke had the crowd captivated. They first revealed the female celebrities and after which are the male ones.

Dancing with the Stars cast will include ‘Brady Bunch’ mom Florence Henderson, ‘Baywatch’ icon David Hasselhoff, singers Michael Bolton and Brandy, NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and teen mom/political scion Bristol Palin. We also don’t want to miss Margaret Cho, Rick Fox, Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey, Audrina Patridge, and, of course, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

We know you are all quite familiar with these celebrities and their fans just can’t wait to see them in their dancing attires and watch for their great dance moves. Well lets all just wait till premieres Sept. 20 which will air the premier of “Dancing with the Stars”.

In related news, it was reported that Edya Sliwinska did quit the show for undisposed reseasons so the ment will have to do without her, sad as it may be. And even though the guys and gals where revealed it is still not known who each of them would have as their partners. Maybe on premier night we will know but till that time let us, what’s that word were looking for, yeah, speculate.

When David Hasselhoff was asked about this new experience and how he feels about it, here is his reply:

“I think it’s actually going to be harder than the [roast],” Hasselhoff joked, then added. “My two daughters love this show and they convinced me, ‘Dad, you gotta go for it.’”

And go for it he did. Let’s tune in and see how Mr. Baywatch handle the dance pressure and till when he gets to charm the judges and audiences. Mark the date September 20, 2010, and we will start “Dancing with the Stars”.
