Remember Galaxy Quest? Yes. It was the 1999 sci-fi slash comedy film starring Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman and was directed by Dean Parisot. It was a parody inspired by Star Trek series. The story was about the wrecked stars of a fictional 1978-1982 TV series called Galaxy Quest. On the show, the actors acted as the crew of a spaceship named the NSEA Protector. Then they were called on by the aliens called the Thermians who believed that their fictional adventures were real. Galaxy Quest even won the 2000 Hugo Awards for Best Dramatic Presentation.
Now, after a decade, a deluxe edition of Galaxy Quest will be released on May 12, 2009 by Paramount Home Entertainment.
