GameDr is a device that will enable parents control the time used by children on their video game.  You can set a time limit to a particular number of minutes or hours a day. When the specified number of hours is reached, the device will shut off the power of the game console. It also password protected so children can’t alter the hours specified. “Video games are great! There is evidence that they improve the reflexes and the thinking process. But right now, for many parents, the option is all or nothing — they either let the kids play the video game or they take it away for two weeks.”

Morrissey is aware that parents of teenagers now are worried that their children spend too much time playing video game, according to surveys. He reckon that his inexpensive and handy device will have a large demand. On the other hand, a company that is already selling GameDr called Digital Innovations of Arlington Heights, Ill., is expecting a different reaction from the owners of 88 million U.S. video game consoles.

“There are moms who say they love this, and that they know 10 people who need one,” said Kara Lineal, Digital Innovations’ marketing director. “And there are gamers who say it’s terrible and that parents should just monitor their kids.”

Whether is it a terrible device or not, if parents are so concerned about their children’s playing time, theymust know how discipline their children not to do so. Set their priorities. There are so better things your children can do other than playing video games.
