Miley Cyrus or better known as the famous Hannah Montana in the Disney Channel series, caused a little bit of ruckus as she pole-danced in the 2009 Teen Choice Awards last Sunday, August 9, 2009, held in Los Angeles, CA. She wore a super short shorts, a black leather boots and was pole-dancing as she performed “Party in the USA”. The only thing she needs now is a whip. She’s 16 and she’s pole-dancing! Did Billy Ray even approve this?

There are a lot of teenagers, and some are not even considered teens yet, were present on that event and some mothers think that what she did was inappropriate to the viewers.

“She already has this risqué image, so it really wasn’t much of a stretch,” says Us magazine senior editor Ian Drew. “That’s how Britney took off. She was the good girl gone bad, and it looks to be working for Miley as well.”

Well, there you go. Looks like she has a role model. And thinking that there are sexy photos of her circling around the net, not really nude like Vanessa Hudgens, it’s not a big surprise at all.

Miley then presented the Ultimate Choice Award to Britney Spears for lifetime achievement and in honor of her contribution in the music industry. Miley was so proud to entrust “because I’m a big fan of hers.”

Both fox and Disney refused to comment on this issue. A Disney spokeswoman, however, gave their assurance that all content presented on the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana is age-appropriate for our audience – kids 6-14 – and consistent with what our brand values are.
