An early Christmas presents for the vampire-romance series “Twilight” fanatics. Now fans can secure movie their tickets for the earliest performances of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon“. That’s more than two months before Summit Entertainment releases the sequel.

Carmike Cinemas, a Columbus, Georgia-based exhibitor that operates 247 theaters nationwide, will offer “New Moon” tickets at selected theaters. The offered tickets will be through Fandango and the performance would be on midnight of November 19 at 63 theaters listed on the online ticketer’s website.

This initiative was inspired by AMC Entertainment’s move to offer tickets, four months before it hits the theaters on December 18, to midnight performances of Jim Cameron’s highly anticipated sci-fi action pic “Avatar” from Fox.

A Fandango spokesman said it was too early to track ticket sales from this kind of plan. Usually, it will take six weeks before a film’s opening to offer advanced ticketing. A MovieTickets spokesman called sales “healthy,” with at least some “Avatar” business trickling in on a daily basis. Both Fandango and MovieTickets report significant interests in “Avatar” tickets but neither disclosed the number of sales.

In Fandango’s latest weekly survey of most-anticipated movies, “New Moon” surpassed “Avatar” with 39% while the latter only has 23%, and Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi actioner “2012” from Fox.

Theaters that offer early “New Moon” ticketing include Carmike theaters in Fort Wayne, Ind.; Winston-Salem, N.C., and Des Moines, Iowa. The film will be released on November 20.

Not only that, another gossip here. Summit Entertainment made a deal to cross promote the upcoming New Moon in the virtual world of Haboo. The word is, starting November, Habbo will reveal a New Moon–themed virtual space within its 31 virtual worlds across the globe. 13 million users can now create and decorate their rooms with virtual goods and accessories based on the movie.

These are an ingenious ways to promote the movie. Fans crave for every bit and pieces of information regarding Twilight.
