And I got lucky. I did. I got very lucky, and he’s wonderful. And so wonderful with the children. I’m very blessed.”

Peyton Manning is Out for the YearPeyton Manning is out for the year? What’s happening NFL?

There is a report circling around that Peyton Manning is out for the season. Jake Query, a radio host for WNDE in Indianapolis, has retweeted that Colts’ quarterback had a third neck procedure – either Sunday or Monday – and is out for the season.

“His info has been spot on in the past. RT @injuryexpert: Indy radio host @jakequery reporting that Manning had another procedure on Sunday. Out for season. We’ll see.”

Then the post was also retweeted by Jay Glazer, one of the most trusted guys in the business. When Glazer tweeted, then it must be legitimate. At first it was just announced that he’ll be out for week 1ending his consecutive starts streak of 237 games (including playoffs) will come to an end Sunday when he sits out the Colts’ season-opener at Houston. But Indianapolis Colts without Manning throughout whole the season? That’s huge.

This was Peyton Manning’s statement earlier:

“To say I am disappointed in not being able to play is an understatement. The best part about football is being out there on the field with my teammates. It will be tough not to be out there playing for the organization and our fans. I simply am not healthy enough to play, and I am doing everything I can to get my health back.”

The third neck procedure or any reports has not been confirmed yet. But yes, we’ll see.

Now we know a flower that Madonna absolutely loathes.

During a press conference for her new film W.E. at the Venice Film Festival, one fan presented the Queen of Pop with a branch of blossoming purple hydrangea.

When the fan handed the flowers over to her, Madonna thanked him. When the fan turns his back to leave, a chagrin look can be read all over Madonna’s face. She rolled her eyes and made a sour face while hiding the flowers underneath her seat. She made a little comment but little did Madonna know, the entire incident was caught on camera and on the microphone. Her remarks was clearly audible.

“I absolutely loathe hydrangeas,” she said to Andrea Riseborough, star of “W.E.” who was sitting on her right. “Obviously he doesn’t know that.”

According to the Los Angeles Times, the fan who gave her the flowers approached Madonna, asking where the bouquet went.

Madonna reportedly said, “Oh, um, my assistant took them.” Or they are already in the trash can?

So if you’re a fan, remember to never, ever, give Madonna hydrangeas.

david garrard of the jacksonville jaguarsThe Jacksonville Jaguars have released quarterback David Garrard.

In a press conference, Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said that Luke McCown will start at quarterback Sunday against the Tennessee Titans with rookie Blaine Gabbert as back-up.

“We made a decision to release David Garrard. As always we seek to play the best players. As I’ve said before, I think it is imperative that we have the courage to do what is best for the football team,” Del Rio said.

The Jaguars coach also made it clear that money was “not a factor” for the release even though Garrard was reported to be expecting a salary of around $8 million this year and had three years remaining on his contract.

“This decision was pure football…David had a nice run here, we have been joined at the hip since the time he was made starter. We had some good times,” Del Rio added during the conference.

“He just wasn’t able to get it going this pre-season and he admitted that when we talked today. For whatever reason, David wasn’t able to find a rhythm, to be his old self.

Garrard missed the preseason opener at New England last month because of back injury.

“And so with that being the case, we had to make a football decision and let him pursue interests elsewhere if he has that desire,” the Jaguars coach said.

Garrard, 33, was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft, and served as the team’s starting quarterback from 2007 to 2010. His career totals include 1,406 of 2,281 passing for 16,003 yards with 89 touchdowns and 54 interceptions for an 85.8 passer rating.  He also rushed for 1,746 yards and 17 touchdowns.

But it unlike Tiki Barber, Garrard still has some team who are keeping an eye on him. Garrard’s agent Al Irby told the Florida Times Union’s website that three teams had already made inquiries.

“He’s gotten some calls, they know there’s some interest,” Irby said. “David can still play, it’s obvious. He knows he’s going to have options and he’s just going to sit back and let the offers come in and make a decision.”
