<p>The Hurt Locker dominated the 2010 Oscars taking home six awards. Director Kathryn Bigelow becomes the first woman to win an Academy Award for Best Direction defeating her ex-husband James Cameron for his masterpiece, not to mention the highest grossing film of all time, Avatar. The Hurt locker also won the award for Best Picture. For the other most anticipated major awards: Best Actor was won by Jeff Bridges for the film Crazy Heart, Best Actress was Sandra Bullock for the Blind Side, Best Supporting Actor was Christopher Waltz for Inglourious Basterds and Best Supporting Actress was won by Mo’Nique for the movie Precious: Based on the Novel &#8220;Push&#8221; by Sapphir.</p>
<p>The most prestigious event of the year, the 82nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, took place on Sunday, March 7th 2010 and the ceremony started at 5pm PT or 8pm ET, televised on ABC channel.</p>
