
The Biggest Loser, gets me every time, winner for season 8 is land surveyor/musician from Oklahoma, Danny Cahill. During the season finale, Danny was revealed as the winner with a total weight loss of 239 lbs., from 430 lbs to 191 lbs., that’s 55.58 % of his total body weight.
When Danny Cahill entered NBC’s The Biggest Loser, his weigh is at 430 pounds. Though he was not the biggest contestant during this season, one individual weighting in at 476, he shed highest percentage of weight.
After seven months of non-stop sweating, Cahill beats Rudy Pauls, who lost 234 lbs – from 442 lbs to 208 lbs. (52.94% of his total body weight), and Amanda, who lost 87 lbs – from 250 lbs to 163 lbs (34.8% of her total body weight). Then, it was all about Danny as the confetti dropped and the contestants celebrated on stage.
“Rudy (Pauls) has been my biggest inspiration. I spent a lot of time at the ranch trying to catch this guy,” Danny said before finding out that he was the Biggest Loser.
Danny Cahill took home with him the show’s $250,000 prize, that’s more than $1,000 per pound lost, and the title of The Biggest Loser. He truly deserves it.
