The search is on for the Miss Universe 2009. 83 contestants from all over the globe will battle it out to find out who is the sexiest, the brainiest and the most beautiful woman in the whole wide universe. Even though I find this quite amusing, being the best in those aspects in the “whole universe”, I can’t find it to argue with their beauty, they are licensed to flaunt it as they like. Being beautiful is a given gift so all I can say is, you go girl!

I think being Miss Universe has its own impact to us human beings, being beautiful has its perks right? Setting an example to others out there by being as good as you (the winner) could be, asserting the woman’s right to be beautiful and creating world peace. Now that’s an achievement (I wonder if this was ever done) we all hope for.

Watch Miss Universe 2009 live. It will air live from Paradise Island, Bahamas. The glamorous live event, featuring some of the world’s most beautiful women, will take place at Atlantis, Paradise Island resort and air live on NBC and Telemundo on Sunday, August 23rd. Each contestant from more than 80 countries around the world will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview as they vie for the coveted title of Miss Universe 2009. Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela will crown here successor and will do her last walk. Presenters will be Billy Bush and Claudia Jordan. Artist that will entertain for the night’s event are Flo Rida, David Guetta, Kelly Rowland, and Heidi Montag.
