Twilight hottie, Robert Pattinson, got hit by a cab on Thursday, June 18, in Manhattan New York where he was filming his next movie, Remember Me. RadarOnline.com was the first to report the incident. Robert tried to escape a group of hysterical female fans when he got hit by the taxi. Fortunately, he was unhurt.

Robert was taken aback and looked stunned while the bodyguard shouted at the girls, “You see what you did, you almost killed him!”.

The incident happened in front of a known Strand bookstore at 12th St., Broadway. He tried to run away from the frantic group, crossed the street for his trailer when the taxi hit him on the hip. Pattinson was uninjured, walked to his trailer and left the scene.

Apparently, Robert Pattinson is being mobbed anywhere he goes, especially where he is filming. His fans just wanted to have a glimpse of him and when they do, they go nuts. Summit Entertainment already provided Robert bodyguards and he hired his own additional security as well.

“I think he appreciates it. He’s not one to make a big deal about it. He’s a chill guy and quiet so far,” the source says. “I think he finds it a little weird that people are standing outside all day to get a glimpse of him, but grateful.”
